  1. Thank you and your friends for sharing this poignant and moving masterpiece on the human condition.

Borrowing a phrase from an old friend, lu eh sim thai si hoh.

The world has gotten to be too complicated. Bombarded daily by an avalanche of sensory attractions, we soon lose our ability to freeze a moment in order to capture its essence.

It doesn't help that over time, our problems pile while our faculties dim so that our lives become just a calendar of kaleidoscopic distractions, tactical how-to's and deadline crunchings, leaving little room to ponder the real things that matter in the short spans that are our lives.

And that is why this video resonates so much. Because it evokes memories of days long gone when one could be spontaneous about doing good and caring for others without looking over the shoulder as a follower or weighing legerdemain risks.

Moreover, it embeds the theme that definitive turning points can be revolved by the simplest of good deeds triggered by the causal chain of life evolved by the most ordinary of people.

Maybe when we start to note such miracles in our midst, we will receive a small but significant blessing in return - to once again be able to appreciate the essence of life.

This short comment...for Paula and her friends.

  2. Dear Walla

Thank you so much for such a moving and sensitive comment.

    I am awed.

In the midst of my skepticism about life, your response has shown me that yes, there is still hope for man and for that I thank you.

Take care and God bless you and yours always.

    cheers
