When Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation on 11 February, it wasn't the only shock to hit the Vatican. There were also electrical shocks, as two separate bolts of lightning struck St Peter's. An act of God, some concluded - but how unlikely is such an event?

Let us look first at St Peter's Basilica.

"The risk factors include the dimensions of the structure, its location and its location relative to other buildings around it," explains Matthew Waldrum from Omega Red Group, who assesses the risk of lightning hitting buildings.

"The construction material of the building is obviously also very important.

"It's an extremely large structure. It's not exactly isolated, but it certainly towers over its surroundings, which means that lightning is more likely to hit it than any of the surrounding buildings."

The fact that no damage occurred to the basilica suggests that it is quite well protected against lightning.

But Waldrum and his colleagues carried out a theoretical calculation of the risk of loss of life due to lightning in a similar building frequented by large numbers of people, in a similar setting - assuming the lack of any lightning protection. CLICK HERE for more.

Currently, I spend loads of my free time reading as much as I can on economic, health and technological issues. I am no economics/financial guru but I seriously believe that the world is heading towards economic collapse.

Many already know I have no intention to blog or comment on our local political scene any more because I regard it as a total waste of time. Why? We can see some running the same worn-out plots, singing the same out-of-tune melodies, introducing the same bogeymen and spinning the same old yarn. And yet, there is absolutely no progress because all they want is to cling on to power or to wrest power in the name of the rakyat's well being. Helloooooooooo!!! Who are they kidding? Time to get out of that delusional ambience. A cursory glance at the headlines of each day can tell us how shallow and selfish are some or worse still, how deceptive can some 'angels' be. Many are still caught up with ideological aspirations, or being fooled by spin  doctors who gleefully lead the herd astray with their so-called theories. While they are fighting amongst themselves, the worldwide situation is worsening and we DO NOT see aspiring leaders telling us HOW they will save us all from the worst case scenario. Moving on....There are MORE important things that concern us! Simply put, is the end at hand? We have to be aware of the signs around us.

Look around you. I feel it. What? The increase in the prices of goods, especially food! Some of my friends overseas have already started growing their own vegetables and fruits.

There will come a time when the prices of food will rocket sky high and many will suffer. Self-reliance is the best. Most importantly, we need to (I have not yet...) ensure we have ample supplies such as...

• dried beans of any type

• Brown rice
• Sunflower seeds
• Lighters, tinder packed in waterproof containers, Candles
• Solar power generator, solar powered batteries for home use and even for cell phones
• Cell phone/Laptop Signal Boosting Kits
• Propane and propane stove
• Torch-lights etc

Some of you might think I have lost my marbles. By now, you can understand why I do not comment on local issues. The current problems that we see in our own back yard is nothing compared to what lies before all of us, all over the world.

In 1979, I formed this Christian singing group called The Living Harmony with Rev. Koe Choon Huan (PJ) ,Rev. Michelle Lee (La, Paz, Bolivia), Rev Moses Lee (currently on sabbatical in US), Anthony Khor (Perth), Hock Guan (Singapore), Sook Cheng (???) and myself. Then, we won a state level Talentime with our cover version of Larry Norman's "I Wish We'd All Been Ready". As a group, we arranged the seven-part harmony with overlapping parts for the song and used Cliff Richard's version which you can view HERE (FOR NON-MUSLIMS ONLY).

I am not a religious fanatic and you can see that in all my blog posts, I have never quite proclaimed my faith at all. For the record,  I am not trying to convert anyone in this post which I am writing to raise awareness that there are MORE IMPORTANT and worrying issues that concern all of us than the current situation in our own backyard. In my entire life, I have never shoved the gospel down anybody's throats. In fact, I rarely share the gospel openly and have done so to only less than ten persons because I believe religion is a very personal affair and it is every one's right to decide on their own which faith they want to believe. Five of them converted - including my dad,  my god-daughter now finishing her PhD in US, her cousin and my varsity course-mate - Cindy Ooi - who is currently an interim pastor At this point of time, I believe the end is within my lifetime. And it is ironical that the song I sang in 1979, is a question that I have to ask myself.

Am I ready?

Frankly, no. To other Christians out there reading this, are you ready? To those from other faiths, if indeed the end is near, are you ready?

What will we do?

Honestly, I have no answer. I am taking a big risk blogging about this but I just hope that in time to come, we can really take time to smell the roses, to see the world as it is, to have the right values, beliefs and perspectives so that we are not hoodwinked into forgetting what is important. Beliefs, perspectives and values or even priorities may differ but one thing we have in common is the fact that our lives are precious, so are our family members and loved ones. So, cherish them always and make the right decisions...may the God you believe in bless and guide you always.

Contrary to what some may think, I do not merely surf the net for local news or political issues. In reality, I spend a lot of time reading up and watching Youtube videos on the 2012 issue.

This date is regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. A New Age interpretation of this transition postulates that this date marks the start of time in which Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era. Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole or a passing planet called "Nibiru".

Scholars from various disciplines have dismissed the idea of such cataclysmic events occurring in 2012. According to many reports in various online portals such as HERE:

Searchers have found 2,000 bodies in Japan's quake-hit Miyagi region.

The police chief in the prefecture said the death toll there was certain to exceed 10,000, with that many missing in the port town of Minamisanriku alone.

The national police agency said the confirmed death toll now stood at 1,597 but hundreds of bodies are being found along the shattered coastline.

Now if the police said death toll = 1597, what happened to the 2000 bodies and the 10 000 missing persons????

BBC News reported HERE:

The BBC's Rachel Harvey in the port town of Minamisanriku says everything has been flattened until about 2km inland.

It looks unlikely that many survivors will be found, she adds.

According to THIS SITE:

The Unites States Navy has moved its Seventh Fleet away from an earthquake-stricken Japanese nuclear power plant after detecting raised radiation levels.

The fleet said today that the radiation was from a plume of smoke and steam released from the crippled Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant, which has been hit by two explosions since Friday's devastating earthquake and tsunami.



The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan was about 100 miles (160km) offshore when its instruments detected the radiation.

But the fleet said the dose of radiation was about the same as one month's normal exposure to natural background radiation in the environment.

More than 180,000 people have been evacuated from the area.

Remember that on Saturday, when another explosion blew apart the building surrounding the plant's No. 1 reactor, authorities declared an exclusion zone within a 20 kilometre radius of the plant and evacuated 210,000 people.

In the latest issue of The New York Times:

As the scale of Japan’s nuclear crisis begins to come to light, experts in Japan and the United States say the country is now facing a cascade of accumulating problems that suggest that radioactive releases of steam from the crippled plants could go on for weeks or even months.

The emergency flooding of two stricken reactors with seawater and the resulting steam releases are a desperate step intended to avoid a much bigger problem: a full meltdown of the nuclear cores in two reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. On Monday, an explosion blew the roof off the second reactor, not damaging the core, officials said, but presumably leaking more radiation.

So far, Japanese officials have said the melting of the nuclear cores in the two plants is assumed to be “partial,” and the amount of radioactivity measured outside the plants, though twice the level Japan considers safe, has been relatively modest.

But Pentagon officials reported Sunday that helicopters flying 60 miles from the plant picked up small amounts of radioactive particulates — still being analyzed, but presumed to include cesium-137 and iodine-121 — suggesting widening environmental contamination.

In a country where memories of a nuclear horror of a different sort in the last days of World War II weigh heavily on the national psyche and national politics, the impact of continued venting of long-lasting radioactivity from the plants is hard to overstate.

According to a very reliable international source, ALL RED CROSS around the globe has NOT been given clearance to assist them in rescue operations in the disaster-stricken zones. WHY?

There are also many repeats in various news channels. WHY???

The numbers don't tally. Reports are NOT really forthcoming. I am sure that things are worse than what we hear or read!!! :-(

My heart goes out to Japan, her victims and the rest of us on this earth. We have to brace ourselves for VERY TOUGH TIMES AHEAD.

As I type this, the fact remains that many survivors are spending another night without water, electricity, fuel or enough food, as authorities appeared overwhelmed by the monumental scale of the disaster. Hypothermia, dysentery and many other diseases could set in soon because of all the complications.

We all may face a serious nuclear disaster that has more dangerous and far-reaching consequences than the 8.9 earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit Japan. Think of the loss in lives, property and the impact on Japan and the world economy, on your life, my life - all of us.

HONG KONG, July 3 (Reuters) - Hong Kong’s health department said on Friday it had detected a case of human swine influenza virus that was resistant to Tamiflu, the main antiviral flu drug.

The World Health Organisation has declared a pandemic is under way from the new H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu.

The UN's top health official has opened a forum in Mexico on combating swine flu by saying that the spread of the virus worldwide is now unstoppable.
World Health Organization head Margaret Chan added that the holding of the meeting in Cancun showed confidence in Mexico, which has been hard hit.

The WHO says most H1N1 cases are mild, with many people recovering unaided.

As the summit opened, the UK alone was projecting more than 100,000 new cases of H1N1 a day by the end of the summer

The CIA’s Swine Flu & Your Plastic FEMA Coffin by Golden Chronicles

In 2006 an interesting motion picture appeared via Universal Studios: “The Constant Gardener”, starring Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz. The script, written based on the fictional work by author John Le Carre, has all the classic Illuminati elements: corrupt British government officials and money hungry corporate elites manipulate pharmaceutical interests in South Africa such that 62 innocent poor South Africans who live in an AIDS stricken local region die during drug trials to test a new drug for treatment of tuberculosis.

The drug does partially cure TB but often kills the patient as well. A British official’s young wife discovers the ugly truth, tries to reveal it and embarrass the British government into recalling the imperfect drug and correct their flawed formula, and she dies as a result of trying to bring the truth to light. Eventually her grieving husband dies trying to vindicate her murder, but as films most often do, the scriptwriter gives us all a happy ending by writing a story that ends with the evil British officials being revealed and the truth being brought to Light.

One key element in this script really stood out for me when I watched this film again this morning. The Pharmaceutical company who landed the “global contract” to produce the TB cure stood to earn billions and billions of dollars dispensing their “cure” for a new and especially virulent strain of TB.

Let’s fast forward to 2009. We now have more than 500 FEMA concentration camps which have been built all over the USA, replete with stacks of millions of plastic coffins everywhere on the grounds of alot of these FEMA camps. This “camp building” activity has been going on for some time now, several years in fact, (see our site map and links to the FEMA REX 84 page). Citizen journalists have been reporting on it all over the USA, wondering what the FEDS and FEMA were up to. Now we know. They have developed a strain of flu by combining H5N1 and H3N2 flu viruses that will resist all existing treatment drugs except the ones they will offer through selected multinational pharmaceuticals to the infected world population, thus guaranteeing obscene profits for the makers of the treatment drugs, while reducing the world population and implementing martial law to control those populations who are left alive. What better excuse to implement martial law than an illuminati created “global flu pandemic”?

The planned October 9, 2009 bombing of the moon by a NASA orbiter that will bomb the moon with a 2-ton kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile wide deep crater as an alleged water-seeking and lunar colonization experiment, is contrary to space law prohibiting environmental modification of celestial bodies. The NASA moon bombing, a component of the LCROSS mission, may also trigger conflict with known extraterrestrial civilizations on the moon as reported on the moon in witnessed statements by U.S. astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and in witnessed statements to NSA (National Security Agency) photos and documents regarding an extraterrestrial base on the dark side of the moon.

If the true intent of the LCROSS mission moon bombing is a hostile act by NASA against known extraterrestrial civilizations and settlements on the moon, then NASA and by extension the U.S. government are guilty of aggressive war which is the most serious of war crimes under the U.N. Charter and the Geneva Conventions, to which the U.S. is subject. The U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has ratified, requires that “ The moon and other celestial bodies shall be used by all States Parties to the Treaty exclusively for peaceful purposes. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications, the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres on celestial bodies shall be forbidden.” 98 nations have ratified and 125 nations have signed the U.N. Outer Space Treaty.

NASA’s LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) mission

The NASA LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) mission, which departed on Earth on June 18, 2009. According to one report, “Flying over the moon's southern hemisphere, LCROSS will use its high-precision instruments, as well as close-up images of the terrain gathered by the lunar orbiter, to seek out a crater just shallow enough and dark enough to be a prime bombing target.

“There, acting as what the Ames team calls its "shepherding spacecraft," LCROSS will guide an empty Centaur rocket weighing two tons toward its target. The rocket will crash into the crater at 5,600 mph, creating a new crater - perhaps as large as 5 miles wide. The crash is scheduled to occur Oct. 9.”

The two-ton Centaur rocket qualifies as a space-based kinetic weapon. The reason alleged by NASA for the mission is that “the [LCROSS} probes will map possible landing sites and search for water sources that could be used by a future lunar colony.”

According to NASA, “The Mission Objectives of the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) include confirming the presence or absence of water ice in a permanently shadowed crater at the Moon’s South Pole. The identification of water is very important to the future of human activities on the Moon. LCROSS will excavate the permanently dark floor of one of the Moon’s polar craters with two heavy impactors in 2009 to test the theory that ancient ice lies buried there. The impact will eject material from the crater’s surface to create a plume that specialized instruments will be able to analyze for the presence of water (ice and vapor), hydrocarbons and hydrated materials.”

U.S. astronauts, NASA employees, Soviet scientists, NSA confirm the extraterrestrial presence on the moon
