Recovery Program For Net Addicts

1) I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my newspaper like I used to, before I became a net addict.

2) I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.

3) I will get dressed before noon.

4) I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Internet.

5) I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Internet-deprived.

6) I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Internet.

7) I will read a book...if I still remember how.

8) I will listen to those around me and their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Internet.

9) I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.

10) I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, regardless if it is necessary or not.

11) I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Internet.

12) Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime ... and the Internet will always be there tomorrow!

Smile a lot and have a nice day everyone!

KoSong Cafe Paula, if you have a blogsite and you wish to interest others, then you are committed to check emails and post something.

If you use internet for online banking and stock trading, then occasionally you need to visit those sites. Unless my stocks are active, I cannot help yawning in front of the screen.

Even with Facebook, I am a quick visitor unless I am looking for someone long lost.

I don't twit and I am not one too.

On the whole, I think am not really addicted, though my better half would not agree. She would not even look at what I have written in my blog, so she would not know why if ever I get into trouble.

We are like chalk and cheese! She loves cheese (will tell people that she can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner (if only her health allows), but I can't say I like to eat chalk, can I?

LOL!! Thanks so much for such a witty and highly entertaining comment. You are such a good writer!!

Thanks for sharing so candidly. I do confess that I am a horrible net addict with computers strategically placed in different parts of the house. :-)

I blog, I facebook, I twit and I skype and I email and chat. Being the recluse that I am, the internet keeps me sane because I also get to play my Scrabble game for that much needed adrenalin rush!

Needless to say, I can live without some meals but not without net connection LOL!!

Take care and thanks for such a lively comment. Have a lovely evening and do keep in touch.

    Cheers
