I am not saying it is not worth it to invest in our children. Of course not! However, the tragic truth is that one has to work against the grain of the system and combat many unexpected obstacles in life. The formal and informal curriculum at schools/universities do not really teach us how to overcome these obstacles - we only really learn how to cope in the university of life.
Is it any wonder then that many have migrated and are migrating? I am not. Too old already :-(.

* Most 'First Class' students become Doctors , Engineers , Lawyers, Accountants and Academics
* Those who get a 'Second Class', pass the MBA and may become Administrators and control the 'First Class'.
* The 'Third Class' passes may enter politics and later on may become Ministers and control both the above groups mentioned.
* Last, but not the least, some of the ‘Failures’ may join the underworld and control all the above.

Anonymous Many governments overseas are run by rejects from Malaysia. That alone should wake up the government form its deep sleep.The NEP may not be able to build a strong, stable and sustainable economy. But a strong , stabel and sustainable economy will be more than able to build a strong and viable NEP.
