It was in Std 5 when I came across Lao Tzu, Confucious, Plato, Socrates etc in my history textbook. To be honest, I was so fascinated with the writings of ancient philosophers that my class produced a cyclostyled booklet of Chinese and Greek mythology which we sold at 20 cents per copy. Somehow, even saying out their names gave me an illusion of being a literate person. Childhood fantasies aside, as one approaching sunset years, I still derive much pleasure reading their works.
This particular website gives an insightful and informative perspective of Lao Tzu and the Tao Te Ching. Please visit that site and be inspired.
This afternoon, I'd like to share some of my favourite Lao Tzu quotes. Any comments/responses is most welcome. Have a great day!

I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.
If the Great Way perishes there will morality and duty. When cleverness and knowledge arise great lies will flourish. When relatives fall out with one another there will be filial duty and love. When states are in confusion there will be faithful servants.
If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. If you are not afraid of dying, there is nothing you cannot achieve.
