What is Success?

Success is speaking words of praise,
In cheering other people's ways.
In doing just the best you can,
With every task and every plan.

It's silence when your speech would hurt,
Politeness when your neighbor's curt.
It's deafness when the scandal flows,
And sympathy with others' woes.

It's loyalty when duty calls,
It's courage when disaster falls.
It's patience when the hours are long,
It's found in laughter and in song.

It's in the silent time of prayer,
In happiness and in despair.
In all of life and nothing less,
We find the thing we call success.

Anonymous Success is relative ! The more successful you are the more relatives you will have.

In Malaysian political scenario, success is seen as what car you drive, type of bungalow you stayed in, number of wives you have (bumi) as for non-bumi, type of clubs you frequent.

As for students, it will be number of As' scored and parents will be grinning from ear to ear comparing results and gossiping about their talented children.

Whereas for businesses, it will be the P&L account. The figures cannot run away as at the end of the day nothing matters if the profit is not there. Business is to make money and without that no level of success then.

For parents per se, it will be the day of graduation for their children and with first class honour. What an investment as to educated a child requires absolute discipline and sacrifices.

To the religious ones, it will be measured by the number of souls saved, number of lives transformed. And most of all success cannot be spelt without U, therefore it needs body to be part of success.
