REUNIONS AND REFLECTIONS

It has been such a busy day for me as my former student is staying with me till Saturday morning. I do apologise that I was slow to response to readers' comments and missed the lunchtime post as I was in Little India then.

The morning began with tim sum breakfast (halal) with Pat and Nizam at Gurney Drive. Over many cups of tea and morsels of tim sum goodies, we reminisced and they were amazed I would still remember many of the exploits of their cohorts.

Pat reads the news on TV Thai and is in the NKH team for Thailand. Apart from that she is a professional MC for many events and teaches at one of the Thai universities. For the information of the young, single bachelors, she is still very single :-). I am so proud of her and even of her brother who works with the UN in Bangkok.

Nizam runs his own business and is such a loving husband, devoted father, dedicated businessman and caring friend. Both of them were in my Economics class (1994) but Pat also took my Sociology classes for five years and survived. We were so touched that Nizam flew all the way from KL just to spend time with us and to give us a tim sum treat.

After breakfast, we went to see our old school at Kelawei Road - the site is now being developed and we were so brokenhearted to see what had happened to the school. Next,we went to see her old house and then we proceeded to New World Park where we ate LOTS.

Soon after, I took her to the Sleeping Buddha temple and then to Little India where she had a gala time taking lots of photographs.

On the way home, another former student, Jeremy, who runs Thai restaurants with his family, called and requested to meet Pat but I had to drop my son at tuition class. Fortunately, I flashed at a cab which stopped at the side and Pat hopped into the cab happily and I am at home, blogging finally! In two hours' time, we will be at E & O Hotel for the Uplands Reunion Dinner.

Before I say adios, wits0 told me about the headline at THIS LINK here. I was taken aback with the headline because one must remember that in journalism, one has to observe OBJECTIVITY and to tell it like it is. Well, I leave it to you to decide.

My husband will be releasing the comments this evening. I will resume normal blogging later this evening or tomorrow morning and will be back with sopo posts. Apologies for this sabbatical today :-).

Have a lovely evening!

SPECIALLY FOR THE GUYS :-)

Four blokes spend weeks planning the perfect camping and fishing trip to a remote and disconnected spot. Two days before they are due to leave, Dave's wife puts her foot down and tells him he's not going.

His mates are naturally pissed off that he can't go, but what can they do, they decide to push on.

Two days later the three fellas arrive at the remote camp site to find Dave sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, beer open and fish cooking on the fire.

Steve: 'Damn man, how long you been here and how did you talk your wife into letting you go?'

Dave: 'I've been here since last night. Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said 'guess who?'

I pulled her hands off and she was wearing a brand new see-through nightie. She took my hand and took me to our bedroom. The room had two dozen candles and rose petals all over.

On the bed were handcuffs and ropes! She told me to tie and cuff her to the bed, so I did.'

'And then she said:' 'Do whatever you want.'

So here I am……………

Have a great day everyone! :-)
