NEVER ARGUE WITH A WOMAN!!!

Posted by Unknown On Tuesday, March 24, 2009 15 comments
One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says,

'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'

'Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?')

'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.

'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'

'Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'

'For reading a book,' she replies,

'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her again,
'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'

'Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'

'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,' says the woman.

'But I haven't even touched you,' says the game warden.

'That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."

'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.

MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think. ;)

Walt That would never work in some countries,, they would charge the woman with adultery and maybe chop her head off, if they don't kill her first.

On the findings of fact and unchallenged evidence in the present case, the position of women in Pakistan is as follows. Notwithstanding a constitutional guarantee against discrimination on the grounds of sex a woman's place in society in Pakistan is low. Domestic abuse of women and violence towards women is prevalent in Pakistan. That is also true of many other countries and by itself it does not give rise to a claim to refugee status. The distinctive feature of this case is that in Pakistan women are unprotected by the state: discrimination against women in Pakistan is partly tolerated by the state and partly sanctioned by the state. Married women are subordinate to the will of their husbands. There is strong discrimination against married women, who have been forced to leave the matrimonial home or have simply decided to leave. Husbands and others frequently bring charges of adultery against such wives. Faced with such a charge the woman is in a perilous position. Similarly, a woman who makes an accusation of rape is at great risk. Even Pakistan statute law discriminate against such women.

    Unknown Hi Kak Ezza

    Hi Walt,

Frankly, you are right. Such is the irony of life. Some peoplehave loads of freedom while others never ever experienced freedom.

Thanks for your very concerned comment re women's rights in Pakistan and the abuse they have to suffer just because of discrimination against women.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Anonymous So true.. although I don't see it worked out that way in this part of the world. Here, I would expect the Game Warden to tie a rope to the boat and tow the lady in her boat to shore... and yes, probably charge her for obstruction of justice. *laughs*

    Doc Paul,
just wondering what would've transpired if the warden would've said "Ok. That's fine with me. When do we start?"
    Hahaha!
    Naughty me.

    cheers

Walt If it were some place like Mexico or Russia, he would be hitting her up for a bribe.

    Unknown Hi Walt,

I think it would happen too in many parts of the East...that is the way mankind is going now - downwards....

    Take care!

Doc Oops! Paula, sorry for the typo on your name.

Hey Walt, those wardens up in Mexico & Russia must be one happy bunch of fellows. They get the action and even get paid for it? Hehehe!

Apologies to the blog owner for this 18SX remark. No offence meant ya Paula.

No offense taken at all haha!

    Take care and cheers.

Walt I've been way too negative with you lately! I will start sending you more positive healing energy.
I've been around spiritual healing for most of my life and there is no doubt that we can effect each others health.
I was just looking at what there was available on Youtube. I will post them here for you check out. They may be just as effective as myself. but I cannot say, having just seen them for the first time. I can say that I have seen and experienced many miracles in my life. Call it magic if you like, God's love power, is all around us, if we are only willing to believe.

ocho-onda It all depends on what one meant by "fishing", I suppose - interpretation vs. impression, one person's pass time is another's crime ! :-)

    Unknown Ocho-Onda,

Great comment! I agree with you and must say it all depends on time, place and gender.

Far too often, what is simple may be complicated and vice-versa.

    cheers
