No phone, no internet connection...my life is almost at a standstill and it feels terribly strange to not sit in front of my laptop, writing or reading. *sigh*
Until now,I have not had my coffee and I just have to learn to be patient.
Thanks dear June for your patience with me and for letting me use your pc.
Please be patient with me dear reader and friends if I am slow to respond to your mails/comments.
My posts will still be up as scheduled and I hope you like the selection for today.
Take care and have a nice day.

Unknown Hi Antares,
Thanks for sharing and for reminding me that there is a life in the real world.
I have grown so accustomed to being an internet addict that it is quite difficult to wean myself off. But you are right, Antares...since I was 'cut off' yesterday morning, I saw many other things in the house which needed to be cleared :-), especially my books which are strewn all over the house!!!
I think the hubby and Nick are clapping gleefully and in a way it is good because I know they miss those moments when I talk endlessly to them :-) er...but I am not sure if they can tolerate my incessant chatter haha!
I don't think I would be able to last 10 days without the net!!! And I would not be able to survive a cybercafe because of the noise and to have the freedom to just take a breather and come back...
Thanks so much, dear Antares, for this beautiful comment.
Take care and lots of love to you.

Walt Ha ha ha he he he ho ho ho!
I can't stop laughing, here we are; the cyber twins! Both our computers are down and like drug crazed junkies we scramble for our laptops!

Unknown Walt,
My computers are perfectly fine :-) BUT it is the house telephone line and internet connection that is a major problem.
It has been almost 21 hours since I reported the faults and till not, NO ONE has come to check!!!
Most stressful.
Take care...
Starmandala In the last 28 months since my blog was launched, the only times I've had a proper vacation from being a complete nerd have been when my phone line was down. Where I live each breakdown can take as many as 10 days to fix (especially if the problem is stolen cables!) Such times I've been forced to return to the cybercafe which is a real hassle - how to get up and make a cup of tea or walk off to play with the dogs and then get back to what I was doing? In any case, I've noticed that each time I've been forced to ease off from my Internet addiction, I've been compensated by wonderful moments in the actual world I might otherwise have missed. May you have a generous sprinkling of many such moments... until you're back online! :-)
