GOOD THOUGHTS FOR SUNDAY EVENING

Posted by Unknown On Sunday, June 6, 2010 6 comments
I will resume blogging on sopo issues tomorrow as I am busy today running errands and attending to family commitments. Here is a post full of good thoughts which I hope will warm your heart. Thanks to Angela who sent this to me. Take care and have a lovely evening!

GOOD THOUGHTS

Today before you think of saying an unkind word,
Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food,
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife,
Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life,
Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children,
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house; someone didn't clean or sweep,
Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive,
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job,
Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another,
Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down,
Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

Life is a gift,
Live it...
Enjoy it...
Celebrate it...
And fulfill it.

And while you are at it give love to someone today,
Love someone with what you do and the words you say,
Love is not meant to be kept, locked inside of us and hidden.
So give it away "Give Love to someone today!"

God Bless

Very true. It almost seems as though profit supercedes other important values.

Take care and God bless you.

    Anonymous Footprints in the Sand.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could
see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
    "You promised me Lord,
    that if I followed you,
    you would walk
    with me always.

But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied, "The times when
you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you."

"Footprints in the sand" is one of my favorite inspirational poems! I even did a cross-stitch picture of the poem with shells and footprints in the background ....

A timely reminder that no matter how dark the day, God will never leave or forsake us.

Take care and may you be blessed always as you continue to leave footprints in the hearts of others including mine!

    Shalom
