PARIS HILTON AND "PEOPLE CLOSE TO POWER IN MALAYSIA"

Posted by Unknown On Sunday, July 18, 2010 32 comments
Last night, cyberspace was abuzz with reports of how American socialite Paris Hilton was briefly held by police on the French island of Corsica after being caught with cannabis in her handbag according to police sources as reported in many websites (listed below).

What is surprising about the latest report from Associated Press is as follows:

Paris Hilton was briefly detained in Corsica after sniffer dogs detected a "quite small" quantity of marijuana in her bag, a French newspaper reported Saturday.

Corse Matin newspaper said officers at the airport in Figari found about one gram's worth of marijuana. Hilton, who was transiting the French Mediterranean island in a private jet on Friday, was hauled in for questioning and released about 30 minutes later, the report said.

In a story posted on its Web site, the newspaper said Hilton was traveling along with "personalities close to power in Malaysia" from the French capital to Porto Cervo, in Sardinia.

This is the second time she has run into the law this month. Paris Hilton was arrested during the World Cup in South Africa after a friend she was with took a joint to the Brazil-Netherlands quarter-final match in Port Elizabeth. You can read about it HERE. What is MOST surprising is the the photos of Paris Hilton with a bunch of Chinese guys in the background (nationality unknown) is no longer in the internet! *Darn! I should have kept a copy but I am no Paris Hilton fan.

*The pic is still in the net and is HERE. Thanks to Anon @ 2.44p.m. who left the info in a comment. Do check his comment for more info.

A few questions that remain unanswered:

1. Who were those people mentioned in the reports who are "people close to power in Malaysia"? Our authorities concerned MUST check it out as these reports have been circulated all over the world and puts Malaysians in VERY BAD LIGHT.

All they need to do is to check with the Police Department and Immigration Office of Sardinia, Italy and take the necessary action to interrogate those Malaysians regardless of how close they are to power.

2. Now why did the international media make mention of "people close to power in Malaysia" in their reports?

Does it imply those people actually said those exact words to the police and reporters?

If so, who are they to throw their weight around? How close are they to POWER in Malaysia? What sort of power????

Why were they with Paris Hilton? What were the circumstances that led to such a situation if it is true?

The Malaysian authorities must get to the bottom of this case as it certainly affects the reputation of Malaysians and the nation.

3. According the THIS LINK:

If you possess, use or traffic in illegal drugs in Malaysia, you will be sentenced to significantly longer prison sentences and much heavier fines than in the United States. Malaysian legislation provides for a mandatory death penalty for convicted drug traffickers. If you are arrested in possession of 15 grams (1/2 ounce) of heroin or 200 grams (seven ounces) of marijuana, you will be presumed by law to be trafficking in drugs.

So what happens to Malaysians who are caught overseas for possession of drugs/drug trafficking? Obviously, they have to abide by the laws of that country.

According to The Star HERE, "A TOTAL of 729 Malaysians, half of them women, are serving jail terms overseas for drug trafficking after they were used by syndicates as drug mules, said Deputy Foreign Minister A. Kohilan Pillay."

4. Finally, whose private jet was it??? Did it belong to a Malaysian?

Internet online portals show that Paris Hilton does know ONE particular Malaysian....

Is it uncanny to discover that some Malaysians have friends in the glamor world?

WHO ARE THEY AND WHY WAS IT REPORTED THAT THEY ARE PEOPLE CLOSE TO POWER IN MALAYSIA?

The following is a sample of the MANY websites that have covered this case.

Paris Hilton caught with cannabis in handbag by AFP

Paris Hilton arrested after second cannabis bust in MSN news

Paris Hilton caught with cannabis in handbag in Yahoo News

If our government can make public statements over an unknown American blogger's posting she made about Anwar, shouldn't our government take immediate action to rectify this situation and to restore our national prestige, especially since this news has been carried by so many agencies and websites all over the world? You can read Philip Rodrigues excellent discourse about the issue mentioned earlier AT THIS LINK .

If it was wrong/inaccurate reporting, the authorities must take steps to do the needful. If the reports are true, what will they do? They have to carry out investigations to get to the bottom of the case if it is indeed true. They have to tell us because this concerns our national repute and how the world regards Malaysians.

tupingera I don't know who those people are but I'm sure they are not the ones adversely affected by the recent " upward price adjustments".
I bet they are just splurging from the surplus made from the "reductions in government expenditure".

Camel Lover People generally tend to want to feel important, some more so than the others. We see this behaviour all over the world where some people cling to fake power, fake glamour (or 'tumpang glamer' as we say in Malaysia), fake intelligence (some suffer from brain-mouth-misconnections) and fake connections.

Your post is a very grim reminder that in Malaysia, this 'fake scourge' is very much alive and very much the norm in the stewardship of the country. People will make all sorts of claims just to feel important and powerful because they expect preferential treatment. This is THE STRAW that broke the camel's back many years ago for our country.

We all know that this didn't happen overnight because we can see all kinds of 'emergency medical procedures' being performed on the back of the camel to prop up our flailing economy, almost non-existent democracy and worse of all, blatant disregard for humanity. How can a tiny country have so much scandals, corruption, judicial mockery that is feeding the bad press which is scaring off investors that can save our economy?

To those people who 'are close to power' or 'in power' or however they choose to label themselves, there are billions of people on this planet. You can't expect to fool everyone with your imbecility, especially when you travel abroad. Ever wonder why some foreigners still think we live in trees? Its because of the garbage you spew from your mouth that gives an impression that Malaysians are still living in the stone ages.

Malaysia is a very REAL country with REAL people who care VERY MUCH about the country. Please don't destroy the country that we call our home with your stupidity and your self-inflated-ego. Enough is enough. Fake politicians should go and play with fake countries and fake population. Leave us real people alone.

My deepest appreciation to you for your very elegant, erudite and perceptive comment which makes us think far and deep about the many issues that plague our nation.

Like you, I also wonder how can it be that our country is being rocked by so many unexpected events that do very little for its development. It almost seems as though we are helpless but then again, we are not - not if as many rakyat rise to the occasion and unite against this scourge.

We have to boot out those 'plastic' politicians and replace them with real people who care for the rakyat.

Take care and do keep in touch.

I pray that you will continue to stir us aflame to see reality as it is...

    God bless you and yours.

    nick Sis,

I think with all the adverse publicity our country had these past few months (sodomy II, TBH death, Submarine scandal, human right abuse, unexplained death of police detainees etc), Malaysian politician (those in government) are fast becoming synonymous with everything sleazy, corrupt and despicable in the eyes of the world.

I will not be surprise if in the coming year, Malaysia will be referenced as a corrupt state (and government) by other nation and its people. When that happens, TDM would surely be proud because he has finally ensured Malaysia's position is at par with his best friend's (Robert Mugabe)country. (What are friends for , ehh, TDM?)

So Malaysian should not be surprised that one day, (not out of the blue) our nation is lumped together with the likes of Zimbabwe, North Korea, Kazakhstan and Myanmar (as the worse and the most corrupt government in the world). I think soon Malaysian will be wearing paper bags over their head whenever they went overseas. Our (not by choice) government is truly a disgrace to this country and its people!

It's a gloomy afternoon Sis and it looks like it will stay gloomy for a while longer. Take care dear Sis and GOD bless!

    Nick.

    Unknown Dear Nick

I really hate to admit it because it hurts too much - but you are right, my friend. Just when we think we have hit rock bottom, something new happens and we spiral downwards at a frightening speed.

How I long for the simple days in the early 1960's when patriotism was raging in our hearts. Even as a little girl then, I remember how my heart swelled with pride when I sung "Berjaya" or "Negara ku"...

These days, we are making headlines for the wrong reasons and I wonder whose fault it is...the evildoers or the ones who put them in seats of power or those who have been tempted or is it a sum of all I mentioned and more????

May the Almighty God above hear the cry from our hearts and heal this nation.

It almost seems that only a miracle can save us. May the miracle be good and upright leaders from the other side of the divide.

Take care and thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day with your family and mom.

    HotDogg Dear Aunty Paula,
I wish I could make friends with Miss Paris Hilton. That way, I can find out who she hangs out with and report back to you. Grrrrr... I can't stand that show-off Malaysian fatso. He should just quietly screw the twat and not let anyone know instead of getting in the limelight. Now the whole world knows that Malaysian millionaires are stupid pussy-hunters.

And Miss Hilton shouldn''t be hanging out with that pest called Tinkerbell. I hate that ugly chihuahua! Grrrrr...I'll make a better pet anytime.

  1. says:

    Darth Vader MWS,

This shows that Malaysia is a very very corrupt country.

By said "PEOPLE CLOSE TO POWER IN MALAYSIA", it implies and show to the world that, even if you commit murder here, you will be able to get away with it.All they need is just a phone call to the "people in power"!!!

And my guess is that these people who is "CLOSE" to the people in power, will be the ones financing their election campaign illegally.

Some little birdie told me that the shelving of the sports betting is only temporary. It will be given after the next GE (BN must win in order this to happen) and before Europe Championships. So you see, election fundings will be in hundreds of millions to you know who...........

This is why the Gomen is conducting census to identity areas where they can demarcate especially rural areas to have additonal seats in the Parliament.
The government, WILL NO demarcate ares that are full of pendatangs.

Another thing is that it was reported in MSM that the government will be employing illegal immigrants. I believe that it is more than employing. They are running an evil scheme just like in Sabah....Project IC. The government warns Malaysian against employing illegal immigrants and will be punish severely, but the government is considering hiring illegals!!!. Who should punish the government then? Another one for Doublestandardsville....

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, also “graduated” (one can only wonder how many favors Donald had to agree to do in order for that feat to be accomplished!) from this pretentious brainwashing center."

The Global Shadow Masters are controlling Bolehland's (Elite & the Powers that be by the Orbs/Juglars) high and mighty of society among their number - royalties, top politicians, government officials, bankers, business leaders, policemen, lawyers, judges, doctors, coroners, publishers, editors and journalists...

Their networks place their people in the major positions of power in all the areas they need to control to prevent proper investigation or to ensure that any high-profile case that does get to court always fails...

Compared to Bolehland's Elites & Powers that be...

Anonymous Malaysia always ends up on the wrong end wrt the theme," People close to power in Malaysia."

Just because they walk with some people in the corridors of power doesn't mean that they are speaking on behalf of us. The most constant things in life are time and death. Everyone one of us will have the same amount of time a day and all are treated the same at death. From nothing we came and to return we can bring nothing too.

    Matthew 16:26 (NIV)
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

We need to live daily with fear and trembling before the Lord, God Almighty and know that cannot bribe our way to heaven. To some, we are given talents, some great and some small,...but whether your talent is epic or miniscule, we glorify God when we use it to further His kingdom.

He is not interested in how much we give and how many celebrities we flew to be entertained. But He is interested in the passion with which we use whatever gifts He has given us and entrusted us to make a difference in this world.

We may be different but each have unique talents and gifts given to us by God. Ley us use those gifts diligently in the way that makes the most sense for the betterment of Malaysia. Change is inevitable and to change we must for the sake of saving this nation from bankruptcy. Vote for change, ya!
