DRAMA ENDS PREDICTABLY!!

Just a while ago, Hafiz Yatim reported in Malaysiakini that Bung Mokhtar's jail sentence has been set aside. Are you surprised or did you expect this right from the beginning?

According to the report HERE:

Instead, the Shah Alam Syariah High Court converted the sentence to an additional fine of RM1,000.

Judge Mukhyiddin Ibrahim, said the offence warrants a maximum fine and not imprisonment.

Bung Moktar and his second wife, actress Zizie Izette Abdul Samad, were in tears as the decision was announced.

In an immediate reaction, Bung Moktar said he is thankful for the decision and that he considers it a blessing as this comes on the first day of Ramadan.

"The experience has taught me well. I will continue to serve the constituents," he said.

"I would also like to thank the media who has been with me covering my case."

Zizie Izette said she too is thankful that the ordeal has ended.

Their responses are indeed interesting :-).

a) A teary response? Hmmm.... for whose benefit I wonder?
b) The experience has taught him well???? What lessons did he learn and why didn't he specify?
c) Media coverage????
d) ORDEAL??? Oh for crying out loud!!!
e) He was fined RM 1000 this time and also previously.
RM 1000 + Rm 1000 = Total of RM 2000 in fines. Looks like he is in the same boat as MP Tian Chua.

Let's look at the chronology of events:

May 2010 : The Gombak Timur Lower Syariah Court in Selangor sentenced Bung Moktar, 51, to a month's jail and a fine of RM1,000.

The circumstances:

a) He had pleaded guilty to marrying Zizie Izette at No 12, Jalan TC 2B/C Cemerlang Heights, Taman Melati, Gombak, on Dec 16 last year without the court's consent.

b) He had also pleaded guilty to a charge of abetting with Zizie in the marriage without the consent of the Registrar of Marriage, Divorce and Reconciliation at the same place and time.

c) The marriage was later declared to be valid.

I wonder if the same judgement applied to others who committed similar offenses.

The fine of RM1000 is PITTANCE and a real light slap on the wrist for Bung Mokhtar who is infamous for his view of women. Would it be a deterrent for future offenders then?

If a woman can be fined RM 5000 and sentenced to be whipped for drinking a glass of beer - an act that is committed in minutes, I wonder about the sense of justice here.

So the drama ends most predictably. Why then was it staged in the first place? Tsk tsk tsk....

Anonymous Hello, you born yesterday or what? Of course the retard can't go to jail. Do you know how many more UMNO warlords are watching this case? If the retard goes to jail, I won't be surprised many, too, will be joining him there. And that, of course, would not be where they want to be...

I would be surprised if he went to jail.

Anonymous For the non-muslims, this UMNO sect of Islam is indeed strange. For one who has clearly committed a wrong-doing, when he is given a lighter sentence, he openly considers it a blessing by Allah for his wrong doings because this comes on the first day of Ramadan. "The experience has taught me well. I will continue to serve the constituents, he said" and the next minute he goes back to his second wife and continues his corrupted ways. No shame, no remorse – as if he is a favourite son who is blessed and UMNO is the God!

For marriage without consent which would cause much sufferings to his first wife and children is considered lesser evil than drinking a cup of beer when you are thirsty. Bung Mokhtar is fined RM1,000 while Katrina was fined RM5,000 and canned. Drinking beer is a no no for a muslim but being a shareholder and director of a company producing beer is OK.

What the heck, drinking beer when you are thirsty is even more dangerous than cow head protest (fine RM1,000 – 3,000) which could bring another May13! For this beer drinking even has the king’s attention while for the cow head protest, nobody bothers except for Hishammudin. For the same logic, it is OK for an ex-Prime Minister son to own a beer company. It is OK for an ex-IGP to be a director and shareholder of a gambling company. For a politician, UMNO Islam has one rule for them; for the common malays another rule applies. For UMNO they can twist Islam as long as they can have “rezeki”!

For whatever warped logic this UMNO has claimed that its religion is more superior than all other religions and claim exclusivity like some Islam cap UMNO. Other non-muslims should not talk or discuss this warped logic and exclusive brand of Islam as we don’t know about Islam. Strange…strange…strange country, this 1Malaysia!

  1. says:

Anonymous another precedent set ... i am sure another Muslim can now find a loophole to ape Bung's act.

  1. says:

Anonymous What loophole? You don't need a loophole...the judge said it himself...this type of offence should only be given a maximum fine, not jail.

So there's no loophole necessary...only assholes.

    nick Sis,

Don't you know it? His appearance with his new wife in court was not really about their law breaking antic but actually it is more of a PR stuff to announce to the world that he has a new and younger wife (and for his wife to declare that she too has a rich and powerful husband). The day in court is just an excuse for them to parade their collective ego and vanity in front of journalists and photographers. Nothing more, nothing less (just like UMNO and BN).

    Nick.

Anonymous Nothing in bolihland can surprise us anymore. We know their game just too damn well. With selective ding & dong, we need to empower the people to "Buang the Ape" back to the wild. Maybe he can have more wild days there.

No wonder we have big issue in M'sia with young adults growing up not knowing who is their father. They only have their mother as the head of the household.

It is any wonder that there are large numbers of deliquent children in our society ? Mat rempits are just a small group whereas the major drug users in our nation comes from the broken families. This "ape" happens to contribute to that effect.

We need more severe punishment for law breaker as he happens to be a law maker as well. We cannot allow such despicable man to set such an example for our society. May those sane in their religion rise up to demand that polygamy is distasteful for it causes many broken families.

Old is caste aside for new and need to print money for the new wife to use. As for the alimony, these men will have tons of excuses not to pay. Better still get the tax payers involved for these women welfare. What a bunch of morons to think that they can enjoy the company of "new wine" and get the tax payers to pick up their tabs.

Anonymous Stories like this retard and others like him, particularly those in UMNO and Perkasa, always remind me of the era of the eunuchs during the reign of the emperors in China. Most of the eunuchs are really nothing more than evil mother-f**king compulsive masturbators who does nothing except to loot the country of its wealth. They will all pretend to be smart and loyal, very loyal, to the emperor, but the minute the king loses his kingdom, they’ll swear allegiance to the victors, or they’ll loot some more and quietly move the hell out.

These are the bastards that we have today, and half the country still continues to praise them like they’re patriots. Patriots my ass…bloody mother-f**king c**ts.

I’m sorry. This is how I usually write when I’m in a bad mood. That piece of shit news really spoilt my day. F**king asshole…

Tony Remember the smile on his face, without any remorse, after he was first charged. I would of course react the same if the Law Makers, the Judiciary, the Enforcers and the whole lot of insect brains are backing me. The spiritual teachings stipulate many folds in punishment for those in Authority. This is common sense !!!

  1. says:

Justice What do you expect in Bolehland?
Bung Mokhtar, don't be too happy!
    You are answerable in ......

  1. says:

Anonymous Yes, such is the fairness of syariah court. A young lady drank one can of beer and was imprisoned and caned. This 'law maker/breaker' committed adultery, a sin punishable by death (Iran recently put to death a woman SUSPECTED of adultery) and was only fined RM1000. What a great way to display the fairness and consistency of Islamic law!

I am quite outraged of the lack of a moral repentance.

    Sighs..

Thank you so much for pointing out important implications of this development. Let's pray that the next generation will be one that fears the Almighty and will remain true to their conscience.

Take care and have a blessed evening.

Perhaps thou traversed far and wide via a time warp and chanced upon my humble blog.

Thy style in speech remindeth me of doggone days when English was spoken and written the way it was meant to be.

Certainly, nature's best gift to thee was thy faithful feathered quill which turned into a mouse when thou came to my digital and sometimes surreal world of words.

Thy chosen words will glint beyond
their stony use and shed light for many other sojourners in this journey called life.

Oh yes, thou art one who has much to be thankful for and humbly, I wish to thank thee for gracing my blog with thy wonderful presence :-).

I bid thee good night and have a delightful weekend!

    *clink of a bronze goblet*

    Cheers!
