IT MUST BEGIN WITH ME

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

But, it too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed my self first, then by example I would have changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.

    mokja Good morning,
its true..the first change should be "me" .It would be hard for a father/mother to preach modesty to the children if he/she is the connoisseur of ill and wrong doings.
Seperti ketam menyuruh anaknya berjalan betul.
So too are our political leaders.

Anonymous The world does not change itself..it grows with how we grow.
Like an infant growing into a mature adult,we leave our mark on it.
Just like Malaysia is at it's political crossroad and given it is not easy groping in the dark towards the light at the end of the tunnel, our next step must be correct enough to stamp a mark to make this country a better world to live in !

    Cheers !

Thanks for being of the same mind. It is one thing to be an arm-chair critic another to be one that moves into the thick of action in civil society. Life is full of choices and we have to make the right one and do something positive for our country.

Take care and have a great day! Do keep in touch.

Exactly! We have to remember that we are accountable for all we do, say and did not do despite what we said.

Take care and have a greatweek.

Anonymous We cannot get what we have never had unless we are willing to do what we have never done.

Just go for change and it cannot be too wrong nor too far fetched. We cannot stay silent and continue to be served by half past six ministers. That is mockery of the highest order ! It must begin with me, ya ya ya already on that train.
