A small boy once approached his slightly older sister with a question about God. "Susie, can anybody ever really see God?" he asked.
Busy with other things, Susie curtly replied: "No, of course not silly. God is so far up in heaven that nobody can see him."
Time passed, but his question still lingered so he approached his mom: "Mom, can anybody ever really see God?" "No, not really," she gently said. "God is a spirit and he dwells in our hearts, but we can never really see Him."
Somewhat satisfied but still wondering, the youngster went on his way. Not long afterwards, his saintly old grandfather took the little boy on a fishing trip.
They were having a great time together. The sun was beginning to set with unusual splendor and the grandfather stared silently at the exquisite beauty unfolding before them.
On seeing the face of his grandfather reflecting such deep peace and contentment, the little boy thought for a moment and finally spoke hesitatingly:
"Granddad, I--I-- wasn't going to ask anybody else, but I wonder if you can tell me the answer to something I've been wondering about a long time. Can anybody - can anybody ever really see God?".
The old man did not even turn his head. A long moment slipped by before he finally answered. "Son," he quietly said. "It's getting late so I can't see anything else."

Anonymous "Son," he quietly said. "It's getting LATE so I can't see anything else."
I think the word late need to be there to complete that sentence.
Anyway, this question from a young child is not an easy one just like the question of a young man who asked recently when responding to an altar call.
Can anyone loves someone whom we cannot see, feel and touch ???
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
God can only be known by means of a supernatural revelation of himself. Apart from the Scriptures, even a theoretical acquaintance with Him is impossible. It still holds true that "the world by wisdom knew not God." Where the Scriptures are ignored, God is the unknown God...
1Cor 1:21
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
John 3:16,17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Any belief will get us into the grave BUT only the right belief can get us through the grave and into eternity with God.
Most people are searching for god(s) through religions and rituals but in christianity, it is God in search for mankind to restore the broken relationship in view of man's sins. That is done through the dying on the cross of Jesus Christ and his ressurection on the third day more than 2000 years ago.
John 14:5,6
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Since this Jesus claimed to be the saviour of mankind through His death and then ressurection, can we really trust Him ?
Well, the truth is out there and the right views of God's truth are not an intellectual attainment, but a blessing bestowed on us by God. It is written, "a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven" (John 3:27).
No matter how legibly a letter may be written, if the recipient is blind he cannot read it...nor appreciate its content. All we need to do is to search for that truth.
Who is this Jesus ? He is what he claimed to be or he must have been just another religious teacher of that time ? Well, the truth may hurt our ego as from time immemorial there is none that conquer death just like this Jesus !
He came from heaven to earth to show the way. From the cross to the grave and the grave to the sky, Lord I lift your name on high. There is none like you in this age nor in the hereafter. All glory and honour be unto you forever and ever, Amen.
