Porridge In Ten Minutes

Use yesterday's leftover rice...or put a cup of rice, properly washed in the freezer and refrigerate them to rice icing in the freezer.

To cook porridge, just put the frozen rice in boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.

You will then have a pot of well cooked soft porridge.

Reason: After freezing, the structure of a grain of rice produces tiny spherical holes with enhanced water absorption.

When you put in hot water, the rice grains become loose, and the starch in the grain of rice begin to turn into a paste like which will turn into porridge quickly.

Try it yourself.  You can also store a small box of frozen rice in the freezer to make quick porridge for breakfast/supper.

Very convenient indeed!
