Then there is also the report of the transfer of three judges as mentioned AT THIS LINK. I have not found any official report of their transfer in the net. Perhaps a reader might share the information if you have it.
It seems that such ridiculous and ludicrous reports smack of a certain type of “National Alzheimer’s Disease” whereby some seem to have forgotten our nation's history because not only are they repeating mistakes from the past, worse still, they appear to be regressing back to the childhood stages, losing all the benefits of Malaysia's amazing “growth”, both as a society and as a government. Are we regressing as a nation as many seem to be succumbing to this malaise of losing their marbles as seen in what they say, do and try to undo publicly?
Serious steps have to be taken by all concerned to fight back against this new malaise where dignity and national identity seems to have been shoved to the background while others kung-fu their way through the scandals, conflicts, disputes and whatever disagreements.
Honestly, I do not know where to hide my face when I read the news. Our national repute is probably at rock bottom now for news agencies have been having a gala time reporting the many shameful events that have been happening in our nation one after another. There are some writers who have listed these chronologically and I am not going to do that because it is far too painful indeed.
I am completely befuddled as to how some people and leaders display a complete lack of responsibility of speech, thought and action. I worry for the next generation of leaders and citizens. What will happen to them for it appears that this Malaysian malaise is at an endemic level?
Do share your thoughts about this....I would love to hear your views. Thanks and have a lovely evening.

Unknown Thanks, SVLLee. It is most saddening and depressing indeed.
We have to pray and believe that there will be a change of hearts and minds soon...
Take care and have a good weekend.
-
JournoDownUnder I'm ashamed to admit that we Aussies contributed the term Kangaroo Court. Notwithstanding who's right or wrong, it's the "how" that's the painful part, right?
Take heart, mate. It will be over, someday.

Monyet King You said "I am completely befuddled as to how these people display a complete lack of responsibility of speech, thought and action"
I hope my blog does not fall into that category.

Angry Parents I can agree to "I am really sickened to the core of my being" when today, my 14 years old was stopped by 5 guys on 3 motorbikes to be robbed at 8pm. These guys search my Son's pockets having only 50 cents while holding a school text book walking to a shop for photocopy. No wallet or handphone on him.
Is it worth to make a police report to waste time and be another statistic?
-
edward Dear MWS,
I guess it all boils down to the level of maturity of our society. The propagandists of such filth knows that there will be a section of the population who will believe in what they say. One notorious propagandist from the last world war had said - a lie if repeated often enough becomes the truth.
Instead of progressing we are regressing, you said it right. We are no longer guided by our conscience, moral ethics and professionalism. All sense of decency are thrown away to achieve narrow and skewed objectives. Somehow I detect a direct or indirect relation to race and ethnic superiority in most of these events.
To my mind the only way to get out of this self destructive mode is to embrace and effect change. We need to determine what is good for the country and throw away all those archaic ideas and policies that hinders our progress, no matter how difficult it is. We just have to be brave.
Regards.

svllee Dear Angry Parents, what happened to your son is a disgrace in our modern society where no one can feel safe anymore in public space. Especially children. Please do make the police report, despite it being yet another statistic. And, make it public, contact the local papers and media, badger them to report it, until then, and only when a critical mass is reached can something be done.
-
Unknown Dear JournoDownUnder,
I am very grateful to you and touched by your empathy and encouragement. You are right to say that it is the 'How' which makes it so painful...
Take care and I will continue to strengthen myself to believe and to hope that what we see now is the labour pain of the delivery of a new dawn for Malaysia.
God bless you.

Unknown Dear Dr. Bala
Oh no - I meant those idiots and delinquents who are misbehaving...not the bloggers who listed the events.
I admire those who can chronologically trace those events and not get emo about it like I do.
But for those who have been wrecking havoc in our political scenario and social and moral fibre - God will be their judge.
Your blog is fantastic and one of the rare ones to focus on the environment. My son and I love your blog and he is also wondering how he can befriend your son. I have listed some of his works in my blog too...:-)
Take care and my apologies for not making it clear in the last paragraph. I have since amended it. Truth is, I was rushing to attend the forum and only just got back - which is why your comment and that of the others were posted so late. Thanks for your patience with me. Take care and God bless you and yours.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope your boy is fine and not too shaken by that experience.
I believe he has been traumatized enough and should not go through the unnerving process of making a police report this evening...perhaps tomorrow after school? The reason being, it is a school day tomorrow and he needs the rest.
I believe SVLLEE has made very pertinent points and I have changed my comment too. Initially, I thought it a futile effort but after reading his rationale, I believe you should make the report. Thanks to SVLLEE for being a civic-conscious citizen.
Thanks for sharing and I pray God will bless and protect him and your family. Take care.

Unknown Dear SVLLEE
Many thanks for visiting again and for your firm stand on the police report and the rationale behind it. I appreciate your consideration both on a micro and macro level and am blessed to have you read my post and to share your thoughts here. Do keep in touch and God bless you and yours.

Unknown Dear Edward
Once again, I am blessed to have you grace my blog with your thoughtful and sensitive comments.
Your sharp observations are spot on and it is indeed saddening that many are unable to differentiate truth from lies and have a distorted or warped perspective of reality.
The current regime is definitely taking us back to the past by many years and soon other Asian nations like Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar will overtake us in the future.
The people have to be more forward thinking to free themselves of these terrible shackles that have hindered us from moving forward.
How true that during such times, we need more courage and wisdom.
Thanks for your wise comment and advice. May God bless you and yours always.
Shalom

Anfry Parents Thanks for your feedback, but I prefer to just forget about being another statistic. There's even more very serious crimes our Police have not fix. H/P & wallet still at home and the 50 cents was not taken, nothing lost..... Yes, he was shaken and trumatised last night such that he woke-up at 5am this morning. The school is my immediate neighbour such that he normally wakes uyp at 6:45am & just cross the road at 7:10am. I told him to bring one of our bigger male dogs along next time to shops.

stephen And the spiral continues...deeper and deeper into the murky depths of discord and disarray, and this in a time of plenty.
Wonder how it will be if one day the time of plenty swings the other way?
How would people react then?
Only four words are needed to summarize the malaise - intolerance, crime, corruption and poor education.Sounds simple to solve but unfortunately all four are woven together in a mesh that you need to unravel simultaneously.
The deeper the ditch, the harder to get out and it does not help when the walls give way every time we try to climb out.Eventually the ditch will cave in and all will be lost- everyone loses.I hope those elected will understand that.

Unknown Dear Angry Parents
Thanks for updating me. Try to reassure him if he is filled with fear and don't let him go out alone. Take care and may God protect you and your family.
Best wishes

Unknown Dear Stephen
During bad times, many will grumble and gripe whereas good times, there is a tendency to be complacent and to take things for granted.
As it stands, I reckon it might take about twenty years to undo the damage that has been inflicted so mercilessly on this nation. Time is needed to assess the impact of any change and sometimes, even if change is introduced, obstacles could hinder its progress or effectiveness.
In short, it is a very long and winding road for both the elected and the citizens...but with courage and determination from all sides, it can be achieved.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Take care and have a good weekend.
Cheers

InjusticeSistem Have you ever thought that all these scandals are purposely created to bombard and overload your memory? You know a certain old dictator MM always complain Melayu mudah lupa, perhaps it is Malaysian mudah lupa. By bombarding/overloading you guys with scandals EVERYDAY, you wont remember what scandals made u hopping mad just a weekend ago. I still remember a certain politician in Penang who call us pendatang, got suspended and then got his suspension lifted, and we were too busy hopping mad with new scandals we just let this politician scandal slip us by......
You see, it is a good strategy, if u cant cover scandals, overload it until the rakyat cant keep up or remember what the fuss was all about.
Just like a cheating husband/wife. If you get caught once, forever your husband/wife will remember it. But try getting caught every week, i bet u your spouse will be numb, and your spouse will either leave(migrate) u OR keep quiet and get on with his/her numb life.
Sigh..........

Unknown Dear Injustice System
Good morning to you!
I agree with your views. Previously, I mentioned that such goings-on are akin to red herrings thrown along our path to confuse, frustrate, agitate and depress us so that we lose sight of what is the REAL problem.
Incident A happens - Huge uproar then a working paper or investigation team or committee is set up to investigate. Findings - wait till the cows come home first. More complaints.
Incident B occurs. - Bigger uproar.
Some may remember Incident A and do simple mathematics of A + B = M or N with some dependent variables. Again, official responses follow and a flurry of press releases from other leaders.
This time, maybe demonstrations and candle light vigils may follow perhaps with an arrest or two = Incident C.
Incident C leads to the same whirlpool of protests-action taken-wait and see etc
The catch 22 leaves us all befuddled with severe migraines and negative feelings and why?
So that we forget who is our real enemy and what needs to be done.
Ah - but these days, the plot thickens ....
We have sub-plots and sub-sub plots and major plots arising from sub-plots and supporting actors vying to become main players.
Then the rest of us try to make sense out of nonsense and in the process lose sight of what is real, of value, of importance and of worth in our country!
The reaction and analogy that you have highlighted in your comment aptly summarizes the apathy, malaise of negative reactions...
Sighs....What a tragedy played out life before our eyes!
Thanks for thinking far and deep and for joining the dots.
Take care and God bless you. Do keep in touch.
svllee I share your heartache and pain...
