NO MORE THREATS PLEASE - WE'VE GROWN UP!

It has been a very busy day for me because of my retarded internet connection. After two visits by two groups of technicians, I am now back in action! Imagine my horror when I clicked into Malaysiakini and read THIS ARTICLE.

Extracted from THIS ARTICLE:

Pandemonium erupted in the Penang state legislative assembly today when opposition leader Azhar Ibrahim warned that there would be a repeat of the May 13 riots if the people lost confidence in the authorities.

Commenting on the public criticism over the police shooting of teenager Aminulrasyid Amzah, Azhar (right) said that the army can take over from the police if the later does not enjoy public support.

He lambasted Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's constant criticism of Umno, which has three million members, for being corrupt.

Azhar also accused Lim of being anti-Malay and anti-Islamic for his attacks against Umno and Prime Minister Najib Razak.

"This is an insult to the Malays, don't you think that there will be no Malay gangsters, or the Barisan Tiga silat group, who will come here and teach those who utter these words a lesson?" he threatened.

"And if you continue to insult the police and its chief, then let's ask the army to take over," he added.

This was followed by scores of demands from Pakatan Rakyat assemblypersons for Azhar to withdraw his statement, to which he obliged.

A motion was, nevertheless, later passed to refer him to the Rights and Privileges Committee for uttering seditious words and inciting ill-will among different races.

Azhar will go before the powerful committee on charges of seeking "to forment rebellion through his seditious remarks" and "to create hatred and hostility among the races". CLICK HERE for more.
I cannot believe that such people still exist. Playing the race card does not work anymore. It is impossible how some still live in the dark ages thinking that they can flex their limp muscles and with the crack of the whip still can carry 500 pounds of iron! Theatrics such as exposing one's derriere may be normal for neanderthals but definitely reflects a lack of mental ability by contemporary assessment.

We have grown up (even if they have not!) and do not cower to such cowardly threats that go against sense and sensibility, logic and of course, our PM's 1Malaysia. Such characters must be living in their own fantasy world of dragon slayers of a different sort.

When the Penang government is gaining momentum in working for the rakyat, here comes a self-seeking hero throwing spanners in the works and for what reason and for whom I wonder?

Actually, Pakatan must thank Azhar Ibrahim because such behavior and statements will definitely ensure that more Penangites are likely to vote for PR in the next GE! So let the childish tantrums continue and let them enjoy their lollipops in their playground of lies.

I am sure many others are not as morally bankrupt or ideologically deficient or strategically clueless as such characters. Let them rot in their fibs, myths, spins, threats while they suck their thumbs and drool over what is not theirs but they mistakenly think should be theirs.

The rest of us have grown up!!

Anonymous The rakyat should not blindly fall into this trap. Actually, Azhar is doing what some of our national leaders have been trying to do for the last couple of years attempting to stir up emotions so that a state of emergency can be proclaimed.
These corrupt Penang BN leaders are completely bankrupt of any new ideas and are even more desperately lost when they become the opposition.
Azhar Ibrahim is but a classic example. Shame on him!

Anonymous Only umno may commit sedition - that's part and parcel of its "special rights". Whenever they do that, it s never called 'sedition' but 'nationalism' or in such similarly perverse terms. This is the 'CONVENTION'.

Example appears yet again today to demonstrate the perversity of it all:

Much as they may deny it, actions speak louder than words no matter how they may distort the words or hide the actions...

    Taken from this site (http://www.globalissues.org/article/165/racism):

Racism is the belief that characteristics and abilities can be attributed to people simply on the basis of their race and that some racial groups are superior to others. Racism and discrimination have been used as powerful weapons encouraging fear or hatred of others in times of conflict and war, and even during economic downturns.

Racism is also a very touchy subject for some people, as issues concerning free speech and Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights come into play. Some people argue that talking about supporting racial discrimination and prejudice is just words and that free speech should allow such views to be aired without restriction. Others point out that these words can lead to some very dire and serious consequences (the Nazi government policies being one example).

Well, we know what they said. The question is, do they?

Nothing happened elsewhere or in Sarawak and Sabah which UMNO/BN regularly regards a poor second cousins though they rape it for its oil and other natural resources!!

Joy Perhaps it is time we should have the insight thought of why is CPO Selangor's car was stolen? Why is it happened now? This is not something to be celebrated with. This is an negative sight of the criminal is taking advantage at the spur of the anguish of public towards police to commit more crime. This is also means the criminals are trying to show their colour to all Malaysian and say thanks to Malaysian who have given this golden opportunity for them to commit more crimes in our country.

Wake up Malaysian, wake up. Can we do something constructive to fight crime rather than creating conducive environment for the criminals to commit more crimes.

No doubt there are bad police but there are good police too. Lets work together to fight crimes now. "Policing is a matter which is too important to leave it to police alone".

  1. says:

God bless you for your civic-conscious comment. Indeed, many of us have to wake up to the harsh reality of life in Malaysia. Unless we learn to see, to live and to work together as equals, the differences between us may continue to rear their ugly heads.

We have to march forward for the greater good of this nation and leave behind the baggage that has been retarding our growth.

Take care and God bless you for your kind and thoughtful comment.
