“Even if our bodies are crushed and our lives lost, brothers and sisters, whatever happens, we must defend Putrajaya,” said Najib, who is also prime minister.
The report went on to quote our PM as saying:
“In every crisis, Umno managed to revive itself despite everything seeming to be against us,” he said.
“Can we believe that Malaysia's success can be maintained by our rivals, who are trampling over each other for power? Can Malaysians trust those who have shown nothing but the desire to take the throne?
“Are we willing to hand our beloved Malaysia to the traitor of race and country?” he asked, eliciting shouts of “no” at each punctuation.
In another report by Free Malaysia Today, it was reported HERE that although he did not name Anwar in his speech at the Umno annual general assembly here, it was clear that the premier was referring to him when he used the term "traitor".
I am sure Malaysians are peace-loving citizens and that in a democratic system, there will be NO CRUSHING OF BODIES (unless in a horrible accident) and NO LIVES LOST and that there will be no untoward incidents of such magnitude or nature.
It has been said that some people are born to be leaders while others train themselves to be great leaders. Some THINK they are good leaders but then the record of achievement speaks otherwise.
During this important time for UMNO, may the leaders there think about their leadership roles. May they rationally analyze these roles in depth as they develop self-awareness and focus on the needs of their followers so that they can successfully implement plans to achieve the goals properly for the betterment of the nation.
May NO TALL TALES BE TOLD for any self-grandiose purposes.
May our nation be blessed with trustworthy leaders to lead others. We need good leaders who can "walk the talk" and by doing so, then only can they earn the right to have responsibility for others.
When the rakyat see good character and trustworthiness of leaders, respect will follow when they see how such leaders exemplify passion and dedication in their cause with moral responsibility.
May our nation have leaders who are permanent sources of inspiration to motivate the rakyat to take the right steps.
And they must do so without spreading fear or intimidation or telling tall tales.
How then can one NOT tell a tall tale? Simple.
All they need to do is to look at reality face to face and be man enough to admit their weaknesses and brave enough to face challenges nobly without scapegoating others. Then, those leaders will be enshrined in the gallery of notable politicians.
Rudyard Kipling wrote the following poem "If"...which is one of my favorites. I believe that if leaders truly put the rakyat first....then they are true statesmen!!!
And do we have such leaders?
written by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Pol Pot, Mugabe?
An idiot would know you defend the country against foreign invaders, and you rule by winning elections!!!!
I guess the great Dr is real proud of his protege and most probably knew about the speech much earlier. Thats why his speech about dictatorship modeled after China is better.
But on second thoughts, it may have other meanings, not dictatorship per se, but Tiananmen Square?
