My friend, Freddie, just sent me the following post at 4.26 p.m. today. Ironical, funny statements but in some ways, they are PAINFULLY true!
I am not saying it is not worth it to invest in our children. Of course not! However, the tragic truth is that one has to work against the grain of the system and combat many unexpected obstacles in life. The formal and informal curriculum at schools/universities do not really teach us how to overcome these obstacles - we only really learn how to cope in the university of life.
Is it any wonder then that many have migrated and are migrating? I am not. Too old already :-(.
Please leave a comment to share your views. Next post will be up around dinner time. Do swing by again! Take care and have a pleasant Friday evening.
BRILLIANT STATEMENTS ABOUT THE WAY THINGS REALLY ARE!!
* Most 'First Class' students become Doctors , Engineers , Lawyers, Accountants and Academics
* Those who get a 'Second Class', pass the MBA and may become Administrators and control the 'First Class'.
* The 'Third Class' passes may enter politics and later on may become Ministers and control both the above groups mentioned.
* Last, but not the least, some of the ‘Failures’ may join the underworld and control all the above.
*Posted for satirical humor with no intention to refer to or to deride any one living or dead in particular.

Anonymous correction to
"Last, but not the least, some of the ‘Failures’ may join the underworld and control all the above"
it should be
"Last but not least, some of the non bumi failures may join the underworld and control all the above and some of the bumi failures join the police and beat up the underworld until they share their loot with them"

Unknown Dear Anon
Thanks so much for both your responses which resonate so well not just to my post but to the harsh reality of life in Malaysia.
Take care and please keep in touch.
God bless your kind and patriotic heart.
Shalom

Anonymous Many governments overseas are run by rejects from Malaysia. That alone should wake up the government form its deep sleep. The NEP may not be able to build a strong, stable and sustainable economy. But a strong , stabel and sustainable economy will be more than able to build a strong and viable NEP.
