was in penang from friday through to monday. lovely trip.
here are some observations:
penang drivers are unable to stay in their lane.
penangites stare at your shopping cart in the supermarkets.
motorcyclists have the impression that they own the roads.
i was rudely asked whether i was chinese when i explained i was unable to understand mandarin.
nobody holds the door for anybody. no respect for ladies and senior citizens.
everything is about price.
it was a very educational trip because i finally found out the meaning of kiamsap, kiasi and kiasu.
