Ladies and gentleman, I have a new member in my family that I would like you to meet. His name is Tiger.
Tiger is a two-year old West Highland terrier that we adopted today. A cellist friend arranged for the adoption as the owner had to relocate to another state and would be living in an apartment. My friend adopted his Golden Retriever and with five dogs on his hands, he could not adopt Tiger.
After my friend sent me Tiger's pics, I forwarded the mail to my husband and then requested for us to meet Tiger today. We spent some time playing with Tiger before we finally made a firm decision to adopt Tiger.
Shortly thereafter, we went to get doggy stuff and then took Tiger home. Upon arrival, my husband and Nick took Tiger to the playground for a run round the field. Then they bathed Tiger.
My duty was to blow-dry his lovely coat. Oh man!!! That was such a tiresome task...no joke being a dog-groomer. Much tougher than blow-drying my own hair!!
Anyway, it has been four hours since we met Tiger and till now, he is very well-behaved, has made only one squeak and seems to have adopted my husband as master of the house and Nick as assistant man-in-charge. Sadly, he shows little interest in me.
If anyone out there owns a Westie...or any type of terrier do share some tips! TQ!
In the mean time, please excuse me cos I have to give Tiger some tummy tickles. Till we meet again in the next post after dinner, have a pleasant evening!
*Thanks to KL who arranged for the adoption!
