Have you heard of Patrick Cashin’s photography? He’s famous in Flickr and his most popular shots have garnered hundreds of thousands of views. It is unusua that anyone would want to focus on such a limited subject - dark, dirty scenes of New York City – but unlike others who photograph what anyone can see, only Cashin makes the effort to show us what is going on beneath the surface because he is the official photographer for New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Hence, he documents processes that few would ever get a chance to witness in their lives.
