It has been many years since I watched television. In fact, I don't have a tv in my sitting room. Not since the old one stopped working goodness knows when. I do know we were paying for Astro for at least two years without watching or updating the receiver until we decided to stop wasting money that way.

This evening, I read about Jericho, a 2006 - 2008 tv series.

According to this site:

Jericho is an American action/drama series that centers on the residents of the fictional town of Jericho, Kansas, in the aftermath of nuclear attacks on 23 major cities in the contiguous United States. Produced by CBS Paramount Network Television and Junction Entertainment, with executive producers Jon Turteltaub, Stephen Chbosky, and Carol Barbee, the show was broadcast in more than 30 countries.

The show ran on CBS from September 20, 2006, through March 25, 2008. It was initially canceled after its first full season because of poor ratings. While a fan campaign was able to convince the network to bring the show back for a seven-episode second season, it was canceled for a second time after that run. In November 2008, TV Guide reported that the CW television network would air repeats of Jericho to replace the canceled series Valentine. In 2007, Jericho was ranked #11 on TV Guide's Top Cult Shows Ever. In 2009, plans were announced for a possible feature film version of the series and a continuation of the Jericho story lines in a comic book series. A new comic book series for Season 4 was released in August 2012 by IDW Publishing. More here.

So, is Jericho merely a tv series or is it a prophetic portrayal of the future or a prediction?

I have not watched the series as I cannot afford the time - hard pressed to catch up on my studies as it has been pretty tough going for even though I can understand what I am studying, recalling precise details is an arduous task.
